Our Founder

My name is Andrey Makovey, and I’m the founder of Timeless Epoxy Systems. I started this company in 2017 after helping friends with their garage floors and realizing something wasn’t right. Too many DIY installs and cheap contractor jobs were failing way sooner than they should. The problem wasn’t epoxy itself — it was how the work was being done. Most of the time, the surface preparation and adhesion profile just weren’t there.

That stuck with me. So I decided to dig in and really learn the craft. I turned my garage into a bit of a lab and spent countless hours researching epoxy, polyaspartic, and polyurea coating systems, testing different concrete preparation methods, and learning how things like moisture, slab condition, and environment affect long-term performance. Over time, that turned into what I now call the Timeless Process. It’s built around one simple idea: if you don’t prep right, nothing else matters. That’s something I still train every installer on and hold myself to every day.

Since 2017, Timeless Epoxy Systems has installed hundreds of epoxy and concrete coating floors for homeowners and businesses throughout the Sacramento area. And even with that experience, I don’t assume every floor is the same. I regularly work with national resin manufacturers, attend industry trainings, and test new products and systems before they ever end up in someone’s home or business. I’ve also been blessed to build relationships with experienced technical advisors, polymer chemists, and materials engineers, which helps when a project requires more than a one-size-fits-all approach.

As the company has grown, my focus really hasn’t changed. I still look closely at each slab, think through factors like moisture conditions, surface profile, and intended use, and choose systems based on what will actually last — not what’s fastest or easiest. I’ve learned that most floor problems can be traced back to early decisions, and I take that part of the job seriously.

Outside of work, I’m also a father and part of this community. Timeless Epoxy Systems wasn’t built just to install floors, but to do honest work, treat people right, and leave things better than we found them.
